Hi everyone! I’m Steve and this is my blog. You are very welcome, and I hope you enjoy reading and getting involved with me and my photography.
I am a wedding photographer based in sunny St Albans in Hertfordshire. I travel all over the country for my lovely clients, and I’m fortunate to shoot in some of the country’s finest wedding venues.
I have always been a photographer, and started my career photographing celebrities for magazines. I have worked for all the Sunday magazines, and many other monthly titles as well. I’m very proud to have several portraits in the National Portrait Gallery’s permanent collection.
Round about 1999 I was persuaded to photograph a couple of friends’ weddings on my new digital camera, bought jointly with another photographer friend (£8000.00!!) and suddenly I knew I could do weddings in a fun and energetic way, in the style of my magazine work, with creative images composed as if for front covers and double page spreads, perfect for beautiful wedding albums.
That is where I come from, photographically, trying not to be too much of a ‘weddingy’ photographer, and working hard at being a really good creative and imaginative photographer of beautiful brides, handsome grooms and lovely people at weddings.
